Library Activities for February and March

Winter/Spring Storytime
Our Preschool Storytime will start on Monday, January 26. Toddler Storytime will start on Monday, February 2nd, and Lapsit will start on Thursday, February 5th. Winter/Spring storytime will end May 1st. Registration is now available. Space is full for Monday sessions.

Craft Days
Craft Days are after school from 3:30-4:15 for school aged children in first through fifth grade. Craft days will be held on February 11th and March 11th. Registration is not required.

Preschool/Toddler Craft Days
Winter craft days for children two years old to five years old will be on February 6th and March 5th from 1:00-1:30. A parent or adult (age 18 or older) is required to participate with their child/children during craft time. Registration is not required.

Family Game Night
Family Game Night will be held on February 19th and March 19th from 6:30-7:30. On February 19th, we will play Family Bingo and be giving away many prizes. In March, the library will provide several different board games, card games, and puzzles for families to play, however feel free to bring your own games. Snacks will be provided and registration is not required.

Family Movie Event
Family Movie Events are for the entire family! The event will be held on February 23rd and March 23rd from 6:30-8:30. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas, bring their pillows and/or blankets, and relax in the library. Snacks are provided and registration is not required.

Preschool Special Movie Event
Children seven and under are invited to watch a movie at the library. This event will be on February 11th and March 11th from 11:00-11:45 a.m. Registration is not required and snacks will be provided.

4th and 5th Grade Book Club
The 4th and 5th Grade Book Club will meet on February 8th and March 8th from 1:15-2:00. If you are interested in joining the book club, contact Jodi Tangeman at 537-3900 or e-mail her at jtangeman@lavistamail.mccneb.edu.

Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’ Birthday
On Monday, March 2nd, the library will be celebrating Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’ Birthday. More information will be available soon!
